报告摘要：In this talk, I will use several real datasets to show why semiparametric models, in particular partial linear additive models and generalized partial linear additive models, are helpful and useful in biological and biomedical research. I will emphasize the case that the numbers of nonlinear and linear covariates can diverge with the sample size. Several examples will be presented to illustrate the principle and numerical performance of the proposed methods.

报告人简介：

梁华，美国乔治华盛顿大学统计系教授。1992年获得中科院数学博士，2001年获得Texas A&M University统计学博士。在Journal of the AmericanStatistical Association等顶级统计期刊发表20多篇高水平学术论文。他是美国统计协会、数理统计学会、国际统计学会、英国皇家统计学会会员，曾任或现任JASA、Journal of Nonparametric Statistics、Journal ofSystems Science and Complexity、Biostatistics等国际著名统计期刊编委。
