讲座提要：理论研究和实务发展之间的间隙和沟通问题一直是深受关注的重要问题。讲座人将从现有理论研究的困境出发，对理论研究与实务发展脱节的原因、现状和应对进行探讨，为理论研究的发展提供一些建议。

讲座人简介：Paul Gillis Ph.D CPA is Professor of Practice and co-director of the IMBA program at the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. A leading expert on accounting and auditing issues in China, he is frequently quoted in the international press, and has appeared on ABC, Bloomberg TV, Now Business Channel, and China Radio International. Professor Gillis is a certified public accountant from the United States and before joining Peking University was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United States, Singapore, and China. He is a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and was formerly a director and audit committee chairman of Nasdaq listed Pansoft Co. Ltd.

He has resided in Beijing since 1997. The International Financial Law Review named him Market Reformer of the Year in 2012.
